TOGETHER WITH

Good Morning Surrey,

By Monday in Surrey, someone is checking a road closure before the kettle has boiled, and someone else is wondering whether this is the week the bills finally ease off a little.

So today’s edition sticks to the practical stuff: the Junction 10 closures worth planning around, the GP referral changes to note, and the local deadlines, services and outings that may save you time, money or a frazzled afternoon.

In today’s edition

  • M25 Junction 10 closures and diversions return this week

  • GP referral support ends as queries move back to local practices

  • Surrey updates EV charging access, bus funding and local plan timetables

  • Household support, warm spaces and community fridges near March deadlines

  • Markets, events, local jobs and three homes across the county

Drivers using the M25, A3 and local roads around Wisley and Painshill have another run of overnight restrictions to plan around. This is one of those weeks where checking the route before you leave is the sensible move.

  • Overnight restrictions run from 23 to 27 March

  • They include lane closures at Painshill roundabout and on the southbound A3

  • There are full northbound A3 closures between Send and Painshill

  • Seven Hills Road South and the M25 Junction 10 up-and-over closure are also included

Surrey referral support service ends on 31 March

Surrey Heartlands says its Referral Support Service will stop operating from 31 March. After that date, patients needing referral or pathway information will need to contact their GP practice instead.

  • The service stops operating from 31 March 2026

  • Patients needing referral information after that date should contact their GP practice

  • The same applies to pathway information

  • Right-to-choose queries also move back to GP practices

Energy bills are set to fall from 1 April

  • The policy has been approved

  • It covers cross-pavement charging solutions

  • This is now an operational route, not just a proposal

Surrey’s bus funding is moving into a new grant framework

The county’s BSIP funding is moving into the new Bus Grant and Local Transport Delivery Plan framework. It matters because it shapes how future bus improvements are funded and delivered.

  • Around £18m of capital funding is cited over four years

  • The funding route is changing rather than ending

  • Future delivery will sit within the new framework
