Good Afternoon Surrey,
Half-term approaches with the quiet confidence of a small constitutional event. First comes the school note, then the childcare arithmetic, then the solemn question from the back seat: what are we actually doing?
So today’s edition performs a modest public service. We have sifted the travel disruption, council updates, NHS reminders, events, markets and local eateries, so the week may proceed with a little more order and rather fewer emergency group-chat decrees.
In today’s edition
Tube strikes could affect late-week journeys.
North Street diversions continue in Guildford.
Royal Surrey liver health screening team in Guildford on Mon-Tue 18-19 May
Half-term dates, food vouchers and youth support are in Community Digest.
Bank holiday events, markets, vineyards and local jobs round out the Weekender.
Let’s take a look.
